You are now looking at a list of links organized by tags. Someone mentioned to me that is this is like the original Yahoo! directory. Well, it is that sort of thing. Eventually, I want to write an indexer for the sites I like and put it here.
The majority of the links here come from my Firefox bookmarks and my memory (manually entered).
After I converted my firefox bookmarks to to .csv (important! it is .csv, not .tsv), I used this script to patch the links directly in this HTML file you are looking at. This is now better handled with a custom site generator.
While the name "lighthouse" is overly ambitious, I hope this place will be a lighthouse for internet surfers in an era when "free" engines provide poor search results.

A hand built web directory: Curlie
It is 2024-03-29. Curlie is now experiencing "planned downtime".
It is 2024-04-17. The directory has been down for two weeks. The A records point to AWS EC2. :(bookmarks.csv
It is 2024-05-14. Culie is still down.
